Kyoto Engagement Photography : Early Spring Blossoms

“Blossom by blossom the spring begins.” ~ Algernon Charles Swinburne

The fleeting blossoms are a breathtaking memory right now. Palm trees swaying in the breeze (ok, trade winds!!!) are our current view. We find ourselves in Hawaii, beautifully excited about our upcoming multi-day wedding. It will be a celebration of cultures. Much like today’s featured Engagement Session from March in Kyoto (with the wedding to share very soon). Tomoko & Stephen, a collision of cultures; Japan, Korea, Australia. We had some time together before their elegant Kobe wedding to explore the ancient capital & the traditional side of Japan. In the cobbled Kyoto streets, with a few super early Sakura in bloom & the striking plums on show. Whisked away from their everyday life to one of Kimonos (a family heirloom), and all the trimmings. It was a delightfully reserved, quiet & sweet experience.  Time for them to just be. And share this adventure together (and for our driver to point out an array of randomly fabulous historical facts…).
