The Beauty and the Blur of Weddings
Every week, we’re surrounded by people. Weddings do that. Celebrations are full of hugs and handshakes, cheers and shared toasts, family reunions and a flurry of florals. We live in a blur of beauty, logistics, timelines, emotion, and movement.
And yet, we’ve learned something important along the way. You can be in a room full of people and still feel alone. You can work in the heart of love stories and still forget to nourish your own.
Because connection isn’t about proximity. It’s about presence.
The Hug That Says I See You
We all need one real hug. The kind that says: I see you. I choose you. I’m not letting go.

As wedding professionals, we give so much. We hold space for others. We make magic out of spreadsheets. We chase the light. Literally and metaphorically. And sometimes in all the giving, we forget to receive. To tend to our own roots.
Choosing Connection in Life and Workflow
But this is a reminder, to ourselves and to you: Keep your core connections strong. Check in with your person. The one who knows when your shoulders have been up around your ears for too long. Call your friends back. Make time to see them. And don’t let the days fly by without reaching for the hand that steadies yours.

The absence of people isn’t always the loneliest thing. It’s the absence of being held in the place where you feel most known.
And yet, here’s the beauty: We can choose to show up. To offer the real hug. To build a business and a life that’s full of depth, not just decoration.
So this is a note to our wedding professional friends (as well as ourselves): While we run toward the weddings, the milestones, the moments that matter for others… let’s never forget to create those moments for ourselves, too.

❤️
Here’s to choosing connection. Not just with our couples, but with each other. Because the best kind of love story is the one that sustains us, quietly, through everything else.
