One Moment, Namibia. The Next… Japan.
And just like that… we’re back. In the wedding studio.

One moment we’re sipping gin in the golden light, giraffes dotting the horizon. The next, we’re being politely bowed to at Narita, our shoes somehow still full of sand… despite three airport lounges, two long layovers, and one rogue terminal noodle run.

Re-entry is strange. Your body arrives before your soul.
Ours? It’s probably still watching the sun set over Onduli Ridge. Or drifting above the Namib in a balloon, wondering how breakfast in the middle of nowhere can be so utterly, soulfully life-changing.
Back in Japan: Order, Grace, and Konbini Perfection
Back in Japan, everything is crisp. Polite. Efficient. Predictable in the best way.
The trains run to the second. The konbini shelves are masterpieces of order. There’s not a speck of dust in sight. No elephants. And the contrast makes us laugh and cry all at once.

What Namibia Gave Us
Namibia cracked something open in us. Let the wild in.
Now we return with fuller hearts, messier shoes, and a few more freckles. We’ve returned with more light. And a little less noise. And we’re bringing that light with us… in our minds, in our editing style, in our timelines.
It turns out we needed the Namib’s unpredictable rawness to make sense of Tokyo’s ordered chaos. The desert’s silence to appreciate a Shinto chant. A 5am wake-up in Damaraland to truly enjoy the precision of a Kyoto tea ceremony.
We’re back. And what we saw and experienced lives in us now.
Which, honestly, is the whole point.
It’s strange how opposites always hold us together. The yin and the yang. The balance of life. Japan reminds us of grace. Namibia reminds us of awe. We need both.
And in between them, maybe we become a little more human. A little more whole.
Japan Wedding Updates
And just like that, we’re back… right back into the deep end of inboxes, timelines, edits, and espresso.
Japan greeted us with a sultry 35 degrees and the kind of humidity that makes your bones sweat. But summer here is still magic: bon odoris, fireworks above, festivals below, and cicadas screaming their little hearts out.
We’ve touched base with all our couples… every wedding is beautifully on track (some even dazzlingly ahead of schedule). Thank you for giving us the space to truly step away. These past three weeks were a gift (Was it only 21 days?).

We’ve come back with so many stories, with clarity, with sand still in our bags… and possibly in our souls. Just in time to pack again.
Yes, we leave Friday. Because work calls. And so does another airport.
Where to next? Let’s just say the ocean’s involved. See you on the flip side.
