Marry that girl
Marry her anyway
Marry that girl… ~ Rude, by Magic!
A beautiful early Spring Tokyo wedding to feature today. In the heart of the city, starring soul mates Tomoyo & Will. Just the kind of celebration we adore…fabulous people, a perfect mix of cultures, stunning gowns, a sprinkle of rain, a most epic Nijikai, a Sanjikai (3rd party) and all the unexpectedness we have come to expect from Japan. A beautiful start to our March weddings.
Japan is always challenging when it comes to venue restrictions. In this case while we were allowed some access the venue insisted on their photographers also covering the wedding. But we do have to thank the venue enormously, even for the limited access. It’s a huge compromise on their part but in the long run, it’s the couple’s day. It’s the start of their family history. It’s the photography left at the end of the day. And thankfully, Japan is starting to open it’s doors little by little. We can work with anything, even if it means our time is cut in half, our creativity & vision is somewhat compromised and we have to deal with being told where/when to shoot regardless of where the best light/conditions/composition might be. But that is Japan, our chosen path for now, and it has truly made us more creative, more flexible and more willing to push for our beautiful couples. To educate venues on the importance of photography (not just producing a set of snapshots), caring about what it means to the extraordinary families who have flown in from all over the world and to hand-craft a personal story for each & every couple and to never give up on our commitment to this. We love that our clients get this, understand & support us every step of the way, no matter the obstacles.
Tomoyo & Will, thank you truly for including us as part of your lovely, lovely celebrations. And thank you for loving photography. It was all just the most spectacular beginning of a life meant together & we wall cannot wait to see what’s next!! #wimoyo

Wonderful memories have been captured once again by amazing photos of a beautiful bride and groom. Dress changes and great colour of the kimono and the outside photos and rain shots are treasured moments. A very happy day for everyone.
