Or both? A summer elopement in Japan on the blog today. When Jenny &amp; Ryo&#8217;s wedding plans in the Shenandoah mountains were one of (literally) millions of weddings around the world disrupted by COVID-19 this year, elopement plans here in Japan went into effect. And it was emotional and perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surrounded by the stunning <a href=\"https:\/\/37framesphotographyblog.com\/elope-in-japanese-tea-fields\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">green tea fields of Shizuoka<\/a>, Japan, they exchanged vows. They danced in the sunset. They had US family virtually attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Jenny&#8217;s words, <em>&#8220;When we saw the views we fell head over heels in love! We originally planned a wedding in the mountains in the US (but can\u2019t go to the US now because of corona) and we\u2019re so sad to have to cancel. So much of our original wedding vision has had to change, and since we are both in Tokyo we thought a wedding with mountain views wasn\u2019t possible, but then Dee showed us Chanoma. We knew immediately it was the place for us! We are a laid back, very chill couple, so being out in the beauty of nature was very important to us&#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And it was spectacular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"eloping-in-japan-is-magical-no-matter-what-the-day-or-year-brings\">Eloping in Japan is Magical. No matter what the day (or year!) brings.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We always tell our couples, that we can never control what the day will bring : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.37framesphotography.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">whether that&#8217;s rain, typhoons, or something equally dramatic<\/a>. But the day will be perfect no matter what is thrown their way. As its theirs. Their story. Their day. Ok, so in our 20 year wedding career we&#8217;ve never seen a world pandemic&#8230; but the moral is the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eloping might not be a couple&#8217;s first choice for their wedding this year. But 2020 has caused too much stress to let it effect the way we love. Love always finds a way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a perfect summer elopement in Japan, Jenny and Ryo committed their lives to one another. It was emotional and raw.
